Okinawa hotels with two double beds in one room, meaning two beds of 140cm or wider on the hotel's own page, are a short list: across the resorts and city hotels we checked, four hotels qualify, and all four have a room that sleeps four or more. For a family of four in Naha, Loisir Hotel Naha's Spa Deluxe Twin (see rooms) lists two 140cm × 203cm beds plus extra bedding for a fourth guest. For a resort stay in the north, The Orion Hotel Motobu Resort & Spa (see rooms) lists its Ocean Premium High Floor Twin with two 140cm beds and a capacity of four, and its Royal Suite with two 160cm beds. The answer changes if you need four adults in one room: Vessel Hotel Campana Okinawa's Sunset Junior Suite sets four beds (two 150cm, one 110cm, one 90cm) for four adults; if everyone needs a full-size bed, two rooms are the answer (see our connecting-rooms guide).

Two Queens in Okinawa Usually Means Two 140cm Beds Sold Under a Twin Name

In Japan a "double" bed is usually 140cm wide, a "queen" is about 150–160cm and a "twin" is two single or semi-double beds of 100–120cm. The American two-queen room is therefore rarely sold under that name in Okinawa; the closest match is a twin or family room whose spec line shows 140cm or more for each bed.

This guide applies one test: both beds must be 140cm or wider on the hotel's own room page. Beds of 120–135cm and Hollywood twins (two beds pushed together) are left out; for those, see our guide to twin, Hollywood twin and double widths. Two linked rooms are a different question, covered in Okinawa hotels with bookable connecting rooms.

A Promise on the Room Page Is Different From a Width You Have to Request

Of the four hotels in the table, only The Orion Hotel Motobu publishes a 160cm pair, Vessel Hotel Campana publishes 150cm, Kanucha Resort and Loisir Hotel Naha publish 140cm, and all four (Orion, Kanucha, Loisir and Vessel Campana's Sunset Junior Suite) have a room type that sleeps four or more (checked October 2026).

The bed width is a fixed line on each named room page, so choosing the exact room name is the guarantee. That matters because the same hotels also sell narrower rooms. Loisir's Deluxe Twin and Superior Twin in the same tower list 120cm beds, and Orion's Ocean Deluxe and Ocean Deluxe Family list 120cm beds pushed together as a Hollywood twin. A booking site that only says "Twin Room" does not tell you which one you get.

Capacity is the second limit. Vessel Campana's Comfort Twin and Premium Ocean View Twin list adults 1–2 and state that no extra bed is available (the Deluxe Ocean View Twin page lists adults 1–2 and says nothing about extra beds); its Sunset Junior Suite is the exception, with four beds for up to four adults. At Orion and Loisir the third and fourth guests sleep on stacking, alcove, extra or sofa beds of 90–120cm, not on a second pair of large beds. Kanucha's Deluxe Family adds three futons on the floor rather than extra beds.

Children are counted differently. Vessel Hotel Campana states that children aged 18 and under who share a bed with a parent or grandparent (添い寝) stay free, that the listed capacities exclude co-sleeping children, and that breakfast is free for ages 0–5. We did not find a co-sleeping rule on the room pages of Orion, Kanucha or Loisir, so ask the hotel before booking: the age limit, how many children per bed, and whether a fee applies.

Okinawa Rooms We Left Out Because the Beds Are Narrower Than 140cm

Several well-known resorts publish bed widths below the 140cm line, so they are not in the table. Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort and Hilton Okinawa Sesoko Resort list twin beds of 120cm and 135cm on their official room pages, and DoubleTree by Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort lists 120cm. Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa & Resort lists 120cm beds in most rooms and 130cm in its Royal and Corner rooms. Rizzan Sea Park Hotel Tancha Bay lists 138cm in its renovated Corner Room, just under the line. The Busena Terrace sells 120cm and 140cm beds as Hollywood twins, which this guide excludes. Royal View Hotel Churaumi names double × 2 and king × 2 rooms in its annex without giving a width in centimetres, so we could not confirm them.

What to Ask When You Book

Pick the room by its exact name from the table rather than ticking a "2 beds" filter, because the filter does not separate 120cm beds from 140cm beds. If the booking page does not show the width, a short message settles it. These phrases match the wording on the hotel pages above:

  • ダブルベッド2台のお部屋でお願いします(ベッド幅は2台とも140cm以上ですか?) ("A room with two double beds, please. Are both beds 140cm or wider?") Use this at any hotel whose room name says twin.
  • 大人2名と子ども2名(○歳・○歳)で、1室に泊まれますか? ("Can two adults and two children, aged X and Y, stay in one room?") Ask this before choosing a room with a capacity of three or less.
  • 添い寝は何歳までで、ベッド1台に何人まで可能ですか?追加料金はありますか? ("Up to what age can a child co-sleep, how many per bed, and is there a fee?")

FAQ: Okinawa Hotels With Two Double Beds

Does any Okinawa hotel sell a room with two queen beds?

Two of the four hotels we checked list a pair wider than 140cm. The Orion Hotel Motobu Resort & Spa's Royal Suite has two 160cm × 206cm beds (123m², capacity 3), and Vessel Hotel Campana Okinawa lists 150cm beds, which the hotel calls queen size, in its Comfort Twin and two Ocean View Twin rooms (adults 1–2).

Can a family of four share one Okinawa room with two double beds?

Yes, at all four hotels. Orion's Ocean Premium High Floor Twin (140cm, capacity 4, 50m²), Kanucha Resort's Abian Beachside Cottage 2F-A (140cm, capacity 4) and Loisir Hotel Naha's Spa Deluxe Twin (140cm, capacity 4, 40.7m²) all list four guests, as does Vessel Hotel Campana's Sunset Junior Suite (two 150cm beds, one 110cm and one 90cm bed, adults 4, 51m²). The third and fourth guests use stacking, alcove, extra or sofa beds, not a second pair of double beds.

How wide is a double bed in an Okinawa hotel?

The hotels above list 140cm for a double, 150cm for Vessel's queen-size beds and 160cm for Orion's Royal Suite. Many other Okinawa rooms with two beds are narrower: Hilton Okinawa Sesoko Resort lists 135cm, and most Hotel Monterey Okinawa rooms list 120cm, so read the centimetres, not the room name.

Which of these hotels publishes a rule for a small child sharing a bed?

Only Vessel Hotel Campana Okinawa: children aged 18 and under who share a bed with a parent or grandparent (添い寝) stay free, and breakfast is free for ages 0–5. Orion, Kanucha and Loisir did not publish a co-sleeping rule on the room pages we read, so ask for the age limit, the number of children per bed and any fee before booking.
