The Four Shuttle Stations Explained

Sotetsu Seya Station — the closest option

Seya Station on the Sotetsu Main Line sits roughly 2 km from the venue — about 10 minutes by shuttle at ¥200 per adult. The association's access page also lists walking from Seya as an official option: about 30 minutes on foot, no reservation needed (checked 18 September 2026). Keep it as your fallback for a day when the shuttle departure you want is gone. Seya is about 25 minutes from Yokohama Station on the Sotetsu Main Line, and about 30 minutes from Shin-Yokohama (transfer at Nishiya).

Sotetsu Mitsukyo Station — alternative Sotetsu point

Mitsukyo is one stop toward Yokohama from Seya, approximately 4 km from the venue (shuttle ~15–20 min, ¥200). It may be more convenient if your hotel is between Yokohama and Seya on the Sotetsu line.

JR Tokaichiba Station — the JR approach

Tokaichiba on the JR Yokohama Line is about 6 km from the venue (shuttle ~25 min). From Yokohama Station, Tokaichiba takes roughly 25 minutes via JR Yokohama Line (transfer at Higashi-Kanagawa).

Tokyu Minami-machida Grandberry Park — the Machida and Tokyo approach

Minami-machida Grandberry Park on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line is ~4 km from the venue (shuttle ~20 min). Families in Machida reach this station in about 5 minutes. Ticket and Transport Reservation: Two Separate Steps

Entry to GREEN EXPO 2027 requires a purchased ticket plus a timed-entry reservation. As announced 17 July 2026, all reservations — entry slots, shuttle seats, and car park spaces — opened on 18 September 2026, roughly six months before the expo opens on 19 March 2027.

• Step 1 — Entry slot: Reserve your timed-entry slot through the expo's ticket system, open since 18 September 2026.
• Step 2 — Transport: After booking entry, reserve your shuttle seat or parking space via a separate transport system. The association will link from the entry booking page to transport booking.
• Book outbound and return separately: Each shuttle journey requires its own booking.

How the shuttle booking works

We opened both systems on the day they went live (checked 18 September 2026). Shuttle seats are booked at cs.shuttle-bus.expo2027yokohama.or.jp and car park spaces at parking-reserve.expo2027yokohama.or.jp; both are linked from the association's access page, and the shuttle site has an English toggle. The terms below are the ones shown on the booking site itself.

Book the shuttle before anything else. When we checked the booking site on 18 September 2026, the day it opened, the first Saturday-morning departures were already taken on a good number of dates. The shuttle seat, not the entry slot or the hotel, is the scarce piece of an expo day: reserve it the moment your entry slot is confirmed, then fit the hotel around it. If your date's early buses are gone, book a later departure or plan to walk the 2 km from Seya (about 30 minutes).

• One booking covers one direction. On any given day you can hold one outbound and one return booking, for up to 40 passengers each.
• Fares on the booking site: ¥200 per adult and ¥100 per child aged 1–11, each way. Under-1s ride free, and up to two pre-school children (aged 1–5) travel free with each guardian aged 6 or over. Passengers travelling free do not need a reservation.
• Payment is by credit card. Book more than 180 days ahead and the seat is held provisionally: you pay between 180 and 31 days before travel, or the booking cancels itself. Inside 180 days you pay as you book — for the opening week in March 2027, that switch falls in late September 2026.
• Booking closes 5 min before the meeting time at your station.
• Cancellation is free until 17:00 the day before. After that you forfeit 50% up to 5 min before the meeting time, and cancellation is not possible once that point passes.
• You board by showing a QR code on your phone; a screenshot or a printout is accepted.
• Strollers: the route-bus type takes them unfolded, though you may have to wait for one; on the touring-coach type they go folded into the luggage hold.

The association is also arranging direct buses to the venue from Shin-Yokohama Station, Yokohama Station, the Minato Mirai and Kannai area, and Haneda Airport. Operators, timetables, fares and the booking method were still being settled when we checked the association's access page in September 2026.

Car Access and Parking

Public transport is the recommended approach — roads around Seya Ward are residential and access routes from the expressway are expected to see heavy congestion on peak days. If you drive, here is what was announced 17 July 2026:

• On-site car parks: Two lots (north and west sides), totalling ~6,200 spaces.
• Parking fees: ¥5,000 weekdays; ¥7,000 on weekends, public holidays, and 19 designated busy-season days (29 April; 2, 3, 23, 29 and 30 May; 6 and 13 June; 14 and 15 August; and 4, 11, 12, 18, 19, 20, 23, 25 and 26 September 2027).
• Park-and-ride (busy season only): Sagamiono Multi-storey, AEON Mall Yamato, and Ito-Yokado Yamato Tsuruma (~4–8 km away), ~700 spaces total, ¥3,000 including shuttle to venue.
• Expressway approach: Tokyo-side visitors are expected to use Tomei Expressway Yokohama-Machida IC; the association plans routing guidance and direction signage.

Car park reservations opened on 18 September 2026 through the same transport system as shuttle bookings. All parking fees are as of the July 2026 announcement.

Staying Closest: Sotetsu-Line Hotels Near the Venue

For visitors who want to minimize their daily commute and are comfortable with a residential neighbourhood and fewer dining choices, there are options along the Sotetsu Main Line.

The Toyoko Inn Futamatagawa-eki Kita-guchi is a 3-min walk from Futamatagawa Station North Exit. Futamatagawa is two stops from Mitsukyo toward Yokohama; from here you can reach Seya in ~5 minutes, then take the shuttle. Rates start from ¥6,000 (varies by season). Closer to the venue, the Seya and Mitsukyo areas have thin hotel supply — if you find availability, book it early.
