**Hilton Hotels Niseko Village:** three separate properties share this one ski-in/ski-out base, and picking between them comes down to how you want to eat and sleep, not where you land. Book [Hilton Niseko Village](https://www.trip.com/hotels/niseko-hotel-detail-1483142/hilton-niseko-village/?Allianceid=9711325&SID=327049682&trip%5Fsub1=hilton-hotels-niseko-village-which-one&trip%5Fsub3=D19660062&ref=nipponstays.com) if you want a full-service resort with restaurants on site, an onsen with Mt Yotei views, and a shared shuttle to Kutchan Station. Book The Green Leaf Niseko Village, Tapestry Collection for a smaller, spa-and-onsen stay with a proper breakfast buffet — but only between 1 December and early April, since it closes for the off-season. Book [Hinode Hills Niseko Village](https://www.trip.com/hotels/niseko-hotel-detail-57576908/hinode-hills-niseko-village-curio-collection-by-hilton/?Allianceid=9711325&SID=327049682&trip%5Fsub1=hilton-hotels-niseko-village-which-one&trip%5Fsub3=D19660076&ref=nipponstays.com), Curio Collection, if you're staying five nights or more and want a real kitchen in the room. Length of stay and whether you plan to cook is what actually decides this — not which Hilton tier sounds nicer.

## Hilton Niseko Village

This is the original: the property opened as the Niseko Higashiyama Prince Hotel and converted to the Hilton flag on 1 July 2008, making it the first of the three to carry a Hilton brand, by nearly two decades. It's also the largest and the most self-contained — multiple restaurants, a ski valet, and direct ski-in/ski-out access to the Niseko Village slopes, so you can be on snow without a shuttle or a walk.

The onsen setup is split in two: an indoor mineral hot-spring bath and a separate outdoor rotenburo with a view toward Mt Yotei on clear days. A friend who stayed here in October 2021 said the indoor bath felt dated next to the outdoor one, which is semi-underground, wood-lined, and free-flowing rather than recirculated — they called it possibly the best-smelling onsen they'd tried in Hokkaido. The same stay reported no executive lounge; instead, Hilton Honors Diamond members got two comped breakfasts, a 3pm late checkout, and an inexpensive all-you-can-drink bar in place of a lounge menu. That was the arrangement as of October 2021 — elite benefits at Hilton properties change season to season, so confirm current terms before you book on the strength of status alone.

Getting here from outside the resort doesn't involve a private hotel car: Hilton Niseko Village uses the same shared Niseko Village Shuttle Bus as Hinode Hills (more on that below), running to Kutchan Station and on to Hirafu; Green Leaf guests instead walk to the Upper Village gondola.

## The Green Leaf Niseko Village, Tapestry Collection

The Green Leaf is the newest of the three to carry a Hilton flag, but not the newest building: its shell dates back roughly three decades and was gutted and reopened under new ownership after a full redesign in December 2010\. Hilton itself only entered the picture in 2025 — the company announced the property's conversion to Tapestry Collection by Hilton, the brand's soft-luxury, independent-feeling label, on 16 November 2025, ahead of its 1 December White Season reopening, making it [Tapestry's first hotel in Japan](https://stories.hilton.com/apac/releases/the-green-leaf-niseko-village-tapestry-collection-by-hilton-opens-in-hokkaido?ref=nipponstays.com). It sits at the foot of Mt Niseko Annupuri within the Niseko Village ski area and carries 200 rooms, smaller in scale than Hilton Niseko Village but built with a spa and an onsen with both indoor and outdoor baths.

Breakfast is a daily buffet, roughly 6:30–10:00am, and the in-house restaurant, Goshiki, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with mountain views, mixing Japanese and international dishes. That's a step up from a grab-and-go breakfast if you're not planning to cook.

The one fact that actually changes a booking decision: Green Leaf does not operate year-round. As a winter-only property it closed 5 April through 30 November in 2026, reopening 1 December for the White Season (checked September 2026) — though the exact dates can shift from year to year. If you're planning anything outside a roughly December–early April window, this hotel simply isn't bookable, and that's worth knowing before you build an itinerary around it.

## Hinode Hills Niseko Village, Curio Collection

Built in 2019, Hinode Hills is the newest of the three and the first apartment-style property inside Niseko Village. It connects to the mountain by a covered magic carpet that runs to the Niseko Village gondola base and ski valet, so you can ride up without unclipping — a different kind of ski-in access from simply walking out onto the snow. The same magic carpet, combined with a short Village Express gondola ride, also connects to the Niseko-Yo dining cluster without taking your skis off.

Rooms range from studios up to two- and three-bedroom suites, and this is the one property of the three built for longer, self-catered stays. Every room type, studios included, has its own kitchen with a stovetop, refrigerator, and cookware — but in-room laundry is not universal: the washer/dryer is listed for the one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom suites, not for the 64㎡ studio (room specifications checked September 2026). If daily laundry is part of why you're self-catering, book a suite rather than a studio. There's no pool, though there is an indoor onsen on site — useful to know if you were picturing a swim after a powder day.

The in-house restaurant, Zento, is listed on [Hilton's own dining page for the property](https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/ctshnqq-hinode-hills-niseko-village/dining/?ref=nipponstays.com) as serving a buffet breakfast and a contemporary Japanese dinner menu, with room service available (checked September 2026). Hours here have not been constant, though — a February 2025 guest report described no lunch or dinner service — so if a cooked dinner on site is load-bearing for your plan, confirm the dates you're travelling.

Transport-wise, Niseko Village's own access page names Hinode Hills and Hilton Niseko Village — not Green Leaf, whose guests walk to the Upper Village gondola instead — as the pick-up points for the complimentary shuttle to Kutchan and Hirafu (checked September 2026). A guest staying in January 2026 also reported a separate evening shuttle from Hinode Hills into Hirafu running roughly every 20 minutes; the resort does not publish that timetable year-round, so treat it as one traveller's observation rather than a schedule. If Kiroro's terrain is pulling you the other direction, [see how the two compare on crowds and powder](https://www.nipponstays.com/kiroro-vs-niseko-powder-crowds/) — Kiroro has no Hilton, Marriott, or Hyatt property at all, so this three-way choice only exists at Niseko Village.

If you land back on the three picks from the top: [Hilton Niseko Village](https://www.trip.com/hotels/niseko-hotel-detail-1483142/hilton-niseko-village/?Allianceid=9711325&SID=327049682&trip%5Fsub1=hilton-hotels-niseko-village-which-one&trip%5Fsub3=D19660062&ref=nipponstays.com) for a full-service resort stay, [The Green Leaf Niseko Village](https://www.trip.com/hotels/niseko-hotel-detail-705916/the-green-leaf-niseko-village-tapestry-collection-by-hilton/?Allianceid=9711325&SID=327049682&trip%5Fsub1=hilton-hotels-niseko-village-which-one&trip%5Fsub3=D19660069&ref=nipponstays.com) for a quieter spa-and-onsen trip inside the winter window, and [Hinode Hills Niseko Village](https://www.trip.com/hotels/niseko-hotel-detail-57576908/hinode-hills-niseko-village-curio-collection-by-hilton/?Allianceid=9711325&SID=327049682&trip%5Fsub1=hilton-hotels-niseko-village-which-one&trip%5Fsub3=D19660076&ref=nipponstays.com) for a self-catered stay of five nights or longer.

## Getting There and Getting Around Niseko Village

From New Chitose Airport, Niseko Village is roughly 110km and about a two-hour drive via National Route 276 — the same distance and drive time that applies to the whole Niseko area, not just this resort. By train, the nearest station is Kutchan, not Niseko Station; get off at the wrong one and you're looking at a much longer taxi ride.

Niseko Village runs a complimentary shuttle to Kutchan and Hirafu for guests; the resort's own access page names Hinode Hills and Hilton Niseko Village as the pick-up points and directs Green Leaf guests to the Upper Village gondola instead (checked September 2026) — it's a shared resort service, not a private car laid on by any one hotel, and the resort publishes the timetable close to each ski season rather than year-round. That matters if you were assuming Hilton Diamond or Marriott Bonvoy status buys you a dedicated transfer; it doesn't, here. Niseko Village itself is changing around these three, too — Moxy Niseko Village opened beside the gondola in September 2026 with 310 rooms, Marriott's first alpine-resort hotel in Japan. The mountain side of that access is due to change as well: [Niseko United, which operates the ski area's lifts, has announced](https://www.niseko.ne.jp/en/news/niseko-uniteds-lift-network-gets-a-major-boost/?ref=nipponstays.com) an eight-person gondola to replace the existing two-person Mori-no chairlift, with the first section — to a 670m mid-mountain station — planned for the 2026-27 season and a second section to roughly 930m expected to follow in 2027.

For how these three fit into the wider map of which chain has a property where in Hokkaido, see our guide to [Hokkaido ski hotels by hotel brand](https://www.nipponstays.com/hokkaido-ski-hotels-by-hotel-brand/). If your loyalty account is with Hyatt rather than Hilton, [Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono sits on a different mountainside entirely](https://www.nipponstays.com/park-hyatt-niseko-hanazono-vs-niseko-village/), with its own access and its own trade-offs. And if brand loyalty is the whole reason you're reading this, our broader [guide to choosing a hotel chain in Japan](https://www.nipponstays.com/best-hotel-chains-in-japan/) covers how the major programs compare outside Hokkaido too.

## What All Three Have in Common

Of the three Hilton-family hotels covered here, all three are ski-in/ski-out, but they don't share one transport picture: Hinode Hills and Hilton Niseko Village are the shuttle's pick-up points, while Green Leaf guests walk to the gondola instead. Only one, Hinode Hills, puts a kitchen in every room (though not in-room laundry for its studios), and only one, Green Leaf, closes for roughly eight months of the year (checked September 2026). That's the actual decision tree: skip Green Leaf if you're not travelling in winter, skip Hinode Hills if you don't plan to cook, and Hilton Niseko Village is the default full-service option that works either way.

## FAQ: Hilton Hotels Niseko Village

### Are Hilton Niseko Village, The Green Leaf, and Hinode Hills all on the same slope?

Yes. All three sit inside the Niseko Village ski area and offer ski-in/ski-out access — Hilton Niseko Village and Green Leaf sit close enough to walk to a gondola base, while Hinode Hills connects via a covered magic carpet rather than a walk.

### Can I book The Green Leaf Niseko Village outside ski season?

No. It operates as a winter-only property; in 2026 it closed 5 April through 30 November and reopened 1 December for the White Season (exact dates can shift year to year). If your dates fall outside that window, look at Hilton Niseko Village or Hinode Hills instead — both operate more of the year.

### Does Hinode Hills' in-house restaurant serve dinner?

Yes, according to Hilton's own dining page for the property: Zento serves a buffet breakfast and a contemporary Japanese dinner menu, plus room service (checked September 2026). Hours here haven't always been consistent, though — a February 2025 guest report described no lunch or dinner service — so if evening dining on site is essential to your plan, confirm the current schedule before you travel.

### Is there a shuttle between the three hotels, or between them and Kutchan Station?

Two of the three: Niseko Village's complimentary shuttle to Kutchan Station and Hirafu names Hinode Hills and Hilton Niseko Village as pick-up points, while Green Leaf guests instead walk to the Upper Village gondola. A guest staying in January 2026 also reported a separate evening shuttle from Hinode Hills into Hirafu running roughly every 20 minutes, though the resort doesn't publish that schedule year-round.
