## The night at New Chitose

We spent a night at a New Chitose airport hotel that we hadn't planned for — a cancellation, not an early flight we were booking around.

I have watched this one happen. At New Chitose on 14 December 2025 the rebooking queue had outgrown the airline counters and was still going — out of the departures area and along the shopping floor, past the confectionery counters, with everyone in it holding the bags they had just checked in.
