A Tokyo hotel club lounge with kids works at [The Capitol Hotel Tokyu](https://www.trip.com/hotels/tokyo-hotel-detail-994636/the-capitol-hotel-tokyu-tokyo/?Allianceid=9711325&SID=327049682&trip%5Fsub1=capitol-hotel-tokyu-club-lounge-with-kids&trip%5Fsub3=D19699031&ref=nipponstays.com): the 27th-floor SaRyoh lounge admits children under 13 for breakfast, the midday Eleventh sitting and afternoon tea, and breakfast includes truffle omelettes (7:30–11:00, last order 10:30). Children up to 6 can share your bed without being counted as guests; anyone 7 or older is charged the adult rate. The one thing that changes the answer: cocktail time, 17:00–21:00, is for guests aged 13 and over only, so an evening lounge visit with a younger child isn't possible here.

## What the lounge rules say today

The Capitol Hotel Tokyu's club lounge, SaRyoh, sits on the 27th floor and runs four separate service periods between 7:30 and 21:00, and children under 13 are welcome for three of them.

| Service | Hours | Under-13s allowed? |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------- | --------------------- |
| Breakfast | 7:30–11:00 (last order 10:30) | Yes |
| Eleventh | 11:00–13:30 | Yes |
| Tea time | 14:00–16:00 | Yes |
| Cocktail time | 17:00–21:00 (food last order 20:00, drinks 20:30) | No — 13 and over only |

Of the four service periods The Capitol Hotel Tokyu lists for its 27th-floor SaRyoh lounge — breakfast, Eleventh, tea time and cocktail time — children under 13 can join three; cocktail time (17:00–21:00) is for guests aged 13 and over ([hotel's lounge page](https://www.tokyuhotels.co.jp/en/capitol-h/room/guide/club%5Flounge/?ref=nipponstays.com), checked September 2026).

Eleventh, the midday sitting, serves pastry-shop baked goods and a café menu; tea time offers hotel-made sweets, scones, a café menu and champagne (hotel's lounge page).

Lounge access itself is limited to guests booked on the club floors (27th–29th) or in a suite. Guests staying elsewhere in the hotel can only enter the lounge as a visitor invited by a club-floor guest, at ¥8,000 plus tax per person for each service period, up to two visitors per visit.

## Our stay with an 11-year-old and a 4-year-old (May 2023)

We stayed at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu for one night over the Golden Week weekend of 5–6 May 2023, booked about seven months ahead in October 2022\. We picked it because we wanted a club lounge that worked with two children, then 11 and 4 years old, and a Club Deluxe Hollywood Twin on the club floors gave us that: 44.9m², two 100cm-wide beds pushed together, non-smoking.

Check-in welcome sweet, The Capitol Hotel Tokyu, Tokyo. May 2023.

At check-in we were served tea and a wagashi shaped like a peach — a seasonal touch for the month. Separately, the hotel's current policy has club-floor guests check in at the 27th-floor lounge, with a welcome drink served on arrival. On that stay, our children could stay in the lounge until 18:00; after that it was adults only. The current rule is stricter by an hour: 17:00, not 18:00\. Rules like this move, so confirm the cutoff when you book rather than going by what we were told in 2023.

Once the kids' part of the evening ended, cocktail time brought us sparkling wine and a seared wagyu beef fillet in a peppercorn sauce — more substantial than the cheese-and-crackers spread a lounge visitor might expect.

## Breakfast is where the lounge works for a family

Breakfast is one of three lounge sittings with no age limit, and the only one that is a full meal — which is where this hotel actually delivers for a family with kids.

Club lounge breakfast, The Capitol Hotel Tokyu, Tokyo. May 2023.

We ate breakfast in the lounge only, and split a Japanese set (rice, miso soup, grilled fish) and a Western plate between the four of us. The Western plate was a truffle omelette, and our then-11-year-old called it the best omelette he'd ever eaten. The hotel's own lounge page still lists truffle omelettes among its made-to-order egg dishes today — one of the few details where our 2023 visit and the current listing match exactly.

![Individually wrapped Échiré butter served at the club lounge breakfast at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu](https://storage.ghost.io/c/c2/d8/c2d85794-51e9-4a95-82a1-758e73652b1c/content/images/2026/09/capitol-hotel-tokyu-breakfast-echire-butter.jpg)

Club lounge breakfast, The Capitol Hotel Tokyu, Tokyo. May 2023.

Individually wrapped Échiré butter, pastries and smoked salmon rounded out the spread. The current lounge breakfast runs 7:30–11:00 (last order 10:30) with made-to-order egg dishes plus a buffet of starters and fruit; guests can also take breakfast at ORIGAMI on the 3rd floor instead (from 7:00, last order 10:00). Breakfast, Eleventh and tea time all admit every age, but breakfast is the one that replaces a meal for the whole family. If breakfast is the deciding factor, [The Capitol Hotel Tokyu](https://www.trip.com/hotels/tokyo-hotel-detail-994636/the-capitol-hotel-tokyu-tokyo/?Allianceid=9711325&SID=327049682&trip%5Fsub1=capitol-hotel-tokyu-club-lounge-with-kids&trip%5Fsub3=D19699031&ref=nipponstays.com)'s current rates are on Trip.com; our [full review](https://www.nipponstays.com/the-capitol-hotel-tokyu-review/) covers the room and the two in-house restaurants we ate at.

## Bed-sharing: the rule we were given is not the rule now

The hotel's [current FAQ](https://www.tokyuhotels.co.jp/en/capitol-h/qa/index.html?ref=nipponstays.com) states the rule plainly: children up to 6 years old can share a bed with their parents, and children 7 and older are charged the adult rate. A baby cot is free up to 24 months, subject to availability.

Our booking in May 2023 was for two adults, and the hotel told us our two children, then 11 and 4, could share our beds. We paid ¥103,730 for two adults with breakfast, tax and service included, for that Golden Week night — a 2023 rate, not a current one, so check live rates for your own dates. We can't tell you whether that was standard practice or an exception made for us. Today, only two room types on the club floor take a third guest on an extra bed: the Club Premier Corner Twin (59.3m²) and the Club Premier King (64.5m²), at an extra-bed charge of ¥18,975 including tax and service (checked September 2026). The Club Deluxe Hollywood Twin we had is not one of them — it takes two guests. Under today's rule, our own 2023 booking would not work: our 11-year-old would count as an adult, and the room we had takes two. A family with two children aged 7 or older needs two rooms or a connecting room, which the hotel says is available on request. Call the hotel directly to confirm before you pay.

## Dinner when the lounge turns adults-only

Once cocktail time starts at 17:00 and children under 13 are excluded from the lounge, a family staying here needs a dinner plan — and the one we found was on the 3rd floor, off the lobby, not out the front door.

We had the kaiseki dinner at Suiren, the hotel's 3rd-floor Japanese restaurant, in May 2023: around ¥25,000–30,000 per adult, a separate bill from the room. It was, in our view, food worth the price, and the real advantage for a family with young kids was not having to leave the building for it. Suiren serves dinner 17:30–22:00 (last order 21:00). In September 2026 its published plans were a matsutake kaiseki starting at ¥31,625 (¥44,275 and up with domestic matsutake from October) and a tempura course at ¥21,126; a regular kaiseki price isn't listed, so ask when you book. Our [Capitol Hotel Tokyu review](https://www.nipponstays.com/the-capitol-hotel-tokyu-review/) has the rest of what we ate there, course by course.

At Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay, the evening lounge runs an all-ages family sitting from 16:00 to 19:00 before a 13-and-over sitting — our [Tokyo Bay lounge comparison](https://www.nipponstays.com/tokyo-bay-club-lounge-instead-of-dinner/) also covers a hotel that shuts under-12s out of the whole evening. And if you're still deciding whether a club lounge is worth booking for your family at all, [our guide to whether a club lounge pays for itself](https://www.nipponstays.com/is-a-club-lounge-worth-it-japan/) walks through the math. If you'd rather fit four people in one room than book two, compare [Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay's family rooms](https://www.nipponstays.com/sheraton-grande-tokyo-bay-family-rooms/).

## Which families this lounge works for, by age

Rules from the hotel's lounge page and FAQ, checked September 2026, sort cleanly by the age of your youngest child.

| Youngest child | Lounge breakfast | Tea time | Cocktail time (17:00–21:00) | Bed-sharing |
| ---------------------- | ---------------- | -------- | --------------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Under 2 (to 24 months) | Yes | Yes | No | Yes — free baby cot to 24 months (limited) |
| 2–6 | Yes | Yes | No | Yes — shares your bed |
| 7–12 | Yes | Yes | No | No — charged the adult rate |
| 13 and over | Yes | Yes | Yes | No — adult rate |

Read straight down the last column: a 7-to-12-year-old costs the same as an adult to add to the room, but still can't join you for cocktail time — the age that unlocks the adult rate isn't the age that unlocks the evening lounge. And the Club Deluxe rooms take two guests, so a 7-to-12-year-old also changes which room you can book.

## FAQ: club lounge with kids at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu

### Can children use the club lounge at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu?

Yes, for three of its four service periods. The 27th-floor SaRyoh lounge runs 7:30–21:00; children under 13 can join breakfast, the Eleventh sitting and afternoon tea, but cocktail time (17:00–21:00) is restricted to guests 13 and over.

### Is the lounge breakfast good for kids?

In our experience, yes. Breakfast runs 7:30–11:00 (last order 10:30), and in May 2023 we split a Japanese set and a truffle omelette between our family — our then-11-year-old called it the best omelette he'd had. The hotel's current listing still includes truffle omelettes among the breakfast egg dishes.

### Can my child share our bed?

Children up to 6 years old can share a bed with their parents at no extra charge; anyone 7 or older is charged the adult rate, and a baby cot is free to 24 months, subject to availability. In 2023 we were told our 11- and 4-year-old could both share our beds, which is more lenient than the rule published now — confirm your own booking with the hotel before you pay. Only the Club Premier Corner Twin and Club Premier King on the club floor take a third guest on an extra bed.

### How do we reach the hotel with kids and luggage?

Exit 6 at both Tameike-Sanno Station (Ginza and Namboku lines) and Kokkai-gijidomae Station (Chiyoda and Marunouchi lines) connects directly into the building, and the lobby is on the 3rd floor — no street crossing or weather to deal with on the way in. If you're pushing a stroller, the hotel's own route uses the elevator at Tameike-Sanno's Namboku Line Exit 7 up to street level, then it's about a 5-min walk straight on to the hotel (hotel FAQ, checked September 2026).
